Motivation
What are some things that your kids find motivating? We have been using time4learning as a supplement and my daughter LOVES these little pictures that she gets to color at the end of some of the phonics lessons. She always wants to print them off but we compromise and I snap a picture for her. The printer is low on ink and I hate to use so much printing out these little gems but it does tickle me to see how much time she spends on them and some of the creative combinations she uses!
Homeschool update
We are on day 31 of our homeschool journey and this week I seemed to lag in energy. I felt so bad that I didn't do more with the kids than the very basics but I think I was just exhausted and fighting a cold. I did manage to get in the hours that I wanted to by using Time4Learning as a supplement to My Father's World but I definitely have some planning to do this weekend to get us back on track for next week. We are going to start the nest unit in MFW Kindergarten. Tasks for this weekend will include finding some great youtube videos about animals and their homes and also some great books from the library. I have to say that even with the lack of motivation this week I am still so glad to be homeschooling the two younger ones:)!
My son never sits in a normal position. He is always all curled up one way or another. It kind of drives me batty but I don't say anything because I know that kiddos with low muscle tone can fatigue pretty easily. I just count it as one of the perks of homeschooling!

Caitlin's creation
She wanted to color on her crayola whiteboard...then she wanted me to take a picture and send it to Grandma! I love this girl!

1st high school football game
Justin is in 9th grade now so we decided to go to the opening football game. It was so much fun! Our team(Ray-Pec) won 42-0! Our nephew scored the 1st touchdown! We had a blast!
Caitlin found a new friend at the game since cousin Lilly was all the way across the field on the Belton side!
Ray-Pec highschool vs Belton high school...we have a nephew on each team!
Notice how she yanked her capris up above her knees...she said she was hot..lol!
Lunch with Big Papa
We went to see my Grandpa today and were surprised and blessed when my Dad and Step Mom were there with my niece Lilly! Lilly and Caitlin are fast friends! Big Papa treated us to lunch at Lucille's Diner(the lunchroom at the retirement place where he lives) The special was Philly steak sandwiches...they are SO Yummy!!!
Dad and Patty...or Papa and Grandma...depends on who you ask!
Caitlin and Lilly!
Deep in conversation
My Grandpa...Big Papa to my kids and Papa Charlie to Lilly!
My handsome boy!
One of the nicest things about homeschooling is spending so much time with my kids and having the ability to take them places during school time:).
